67 TEAMS PLAY IN LEG I OF THE TRIPLE GRAND SLAM

On March 29 & 30, SIXTY SEVEN teams met in the first leg of WORTH'S Triple Grand Slam to battle for a berth in the Triple Grand Slam Championships which will be held on September 6 & 7 at Victory Lane and Rose Mofford Parks.

In each leg of the Triple Grand Slam Series, winning teams receive their normal awards. However as a bonus $50 from each team's entry fee is deposited into a fund and divided up among the First, Second and Third Place teams in the Championships. The Triple Grand Slam Championship easily contains Arizona's largest tournament award package. Last year $13,000 in award money was given back to the winning teams at the Championships. Since every team must qualify to play in the Championships there is always a waiting list to enter. The Second Leg of the Triple Grand Slam will be held on June 6 & 7 at Victory Lane and Papago parks. The Third Leg will be held at the newly remodeled Thorpe Park in Flagstaff on August 24 & 25.

Upcoming tournaments include the 3rd Annual Pat Tillman Benefit on April 19 & 20 at Victory Lane and Desert West Parks. Also in May is the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta World Qualifier on May 3 & 4 in which the winning team will receive a paid berth to the COORS LIGHT HISPANIC WORLD at Victory Lane Park on October 17 - 19.
