Sixty teams turned the first Late Nite of 2005 into an all day event on June
11 & 12 at Victory Lane and Rose Mofford Parks. The Worth Sports sponsored
event finished in the early morning hours at Victory Lane with the 10 Champions
receiving Worth Wicked Equipment Bags.
With fewer game slots available, the 42 men's field was divided into 7 divisions playing a round robin single-elimination format.
The champions for each division were:
Ernie Gonzales, Red Dawgz team taking first with John McDonald's Team Korupt finishing in second place,
Mike Ruyon's MIB winning first with Tony Felix's AZ Sports finishing in second place,
Ramon Del Sol's Los Bad Boyz finished first over Rick Bevington's Team Bohica,
TanTarants, coached by Manny Tellez beat Enforcers who placed second,
Jacked Up, coached by Jeff Marine defeated Nathan Bolsveft's AZ Error Crew,
Manuel Cervantes's Don't Cry team finishing first with Gil's 12 Pack, coached by Gilbert Angulo in second place,
Marc Davis' Diablos over Manny Canez's Action Pak'd.
Stormy Weber's 18 team Women's Late Nite was divided into three Divisions and started Saturday afternoon at Rose Mofford.
In Division I Lady Legion defeated Sis Bruce's, Nacho Mamas to win the bat bags. Frank's Hydraulics women's team won over Corrina Parra's, Phoenix Remix team to take Division II. Finally newcomer, Uncle Bears from Mesa finished strong to take the Division III championship from the Tucson Dusters.
