CORONA'S Hispanic World Championships
This year's annual CORONA Hispanic World Championships held on October 9 - 11 at
Victory Lane and Festival Park drew a record 119 teams. There were 79 Men's teams in 3
divisions. The Coed Division had 23 teams and there were 17 in the Women's Divisions.
The 2009 Hispanic World, sponsored by CORONA, featured the live band, BAMBOLEO,
on both Friday and Saturday nights. There was also a Homerun Challenge hosted by
Elite Sports. Victory Lane provided a carnival atmosphere for the kids with 2
bouncies, cotton candy and sno-cones. Victory Lane also hosted a free dinner and
beer for all team managers on Friday night.
The CORONA Hispanic World is always the highlight of the season for ASA/Tournament
Sports and the World Hispanic in 2009 ranks as one of the best.
Many thanks to Mark Harmon of Crown Imports, who in conjunction with CORONA
and CORONA LIGHT, makes the Hispanic World a true event.
Thanks always to Victory Lane owners, Mike and Kim Krueger, and to Gary Woods
and the rest of the Victory Lane staff for their tireless work in putting this tournament on.
We would also like to thank Ron Parnell from Elite Sports for his sponsorship
of the Homerun Contest.
The CORONA Hispanic World tradition will be continued in 2010 at Victory Lane
on October 8 - 10. See you there.
