Generosity and good will were on display for all to see this December at Victory Lane and Papago Parks when each softball team donated a toy in lieu of their 2007 Registration Fee. When teams chose to donate a toy Tournament Sports picked up the tab for their 2007 registration fee
The biggest elves of the tournaments were Mona and Daniel Williams, the coaches of team Hot Boyz. Hot Boyz donated two brand new bikes and entire bags of Christmas toys. Daniel said they donated so many toys so that his children could understand that many other children in the world are less fortunate.
When Glendale Fire Trucks rolled in to pick up the toys -- everyone was glad to be a small part of the donation. Tournament Sports hopes that everyone had a wonderful holiday and New Year.

Each year Tournament Sports strives to organize several special benefit tournaments to "give back" some of the proceeds to worthwhile organizations.
Tournament Sports will hold eight benefit tournaments this year. The benefit tournament list includes the two December Toy Drive Tournaments, the LAF Benefit in January, the 21st year of the Presidential Benefit in February which benefits the Phoenix Park Foundation and the Kiwanis Klassic and Verde River Days tournaments which benefit local Cottonwood organizations. In addition, in 2007 Tournament Sports will hold the Second Annual Pat Tillman Benefit on April 22 & 22 and a benefit for a local no kill animal shelter with the date to be announced.
Other highlights of the 2007 will include:
The return of the Triple Grand Slam Series which returned $14,000 cash to teams in September 2006.
The return of Coors Light Series sanctioned by Misty Lee Kyle with superior Coors Light awards. This year each tournament will feature a Coors Light Home Run contest and Coors Light girls.
The return of the ASA Points Challenge run by Sean Melvin of Southern California which awards hotel rooms and cash to teams that attend the ASA Nationals. In 2006, Arizona teams Hitters Row/Tanel 360, Crush and Ozone won awards in this Challenge.
The return of the Hispanic/Minority World Championship tournament to Tucson Sportspark on October 19 - 21. The Hispanic World has out drawn all other organizations the last three years and is the only tournament to offer an award of custom rings. This year for the first time the field will be expanded to all minority teams and also to the Coed teams.
NEW FOR 2007 -- TOURNAMENT SPORTS has been awarded the ASA E NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS on September 8 & 9 at Victory Lane Complex. National Championship rings will be awarded to the winning team.
Tournament Sports would once again like to thank all the participating teams for coming out and playing in our events. We know you have a choice and appreciate your continued patronage. See you in 2007.
