2010 ASA CORONA WORTH HISPANIC CHAMPIONSHIPS Valley softball fields were ablaze in October as the ASA World Hispanic Championships brought out some of the best softball players to slug it out for top honors. Perfect weather, live music, the best fields and a terrific draw set the stage for the 6th Annual ASA CORONA Hispanic Championships held October 8 10 at Victory Lane, Festival and Desert West complexes. As the festivities ended on Friday night 133 teams took to the field to compete for the championship in the A.S.A sanctioned World Hispanic Softball event. Teams from all over Arizona and neighboring states converged on Phoenix and Glendale to see just how good they really were. The ASA CORONA Hispanic Championships sponsored by long time supporter, Mark Harmon and WORTH SPORTS, tested the stamina of the teams with three days and nights of nonstop action. Teams and players pushed through fatigue, muscle cramps, and soreness relying heavily on Gatorade, energy drinks, and other beverages of choice during this historic event. Many teams played back-to-back games to avoid elimination and bring home bragging rights and trophies. So who was left standing after the dust cleared?
